The envelope system is the composition of Kokuselei’ tradition and revamped material. This approach seeks for the architectural opportunities from what we have given from Kokuselei, Kenya. Traditional weaving is the part of Turkana people’s daily life and something that can be produced and replaced easily without technical difficulties. Instead of weaving with just palm tree, MIT can introduce another transparent material that can be weaved together and create openings for daylight.
Interior panels introduce colors into the space by applying revamp materials, such as glass, plastic or fabrics which can translate the daylight into colors. Further research is needed to specify the materials at this stage.
Both panels can be mounted easily to the metal structural skeleton by simply using hook system. This simple connection is to provide a condition for occupants to easily replace these panels based on their needs and tastes.
