Wire Petals

This investigation pursues the volume produced by a single wire enfolded upon itself. The method treats weaving geometry as a structural system upon which a secondary infilling system may be imposed. Further iterations may pursue the relationship of a softer skin to contain the structured volume. Wires, rods, and rope may be produced out of a range of materials both organic and synthetic. Continuing form-finding research, this path offers an adaptable system of structural and envelop design.
