Termites, climate control

Termites themselves have climate control  methods embedded into their constructions. The article below maps out how a system of lateral porosity of their constructions combined with an internal chamber that has an opening at the top of the mound, is capable of moving hot air (and CO2) out and cool fresh air in. I believe this might prove useful.
